The purpose built conference and meeting rooms were opened in 2005. Conveniently
located on the outskirts of Wakefield, Pugneys is easy to get to, only
five minutes from junction 39 of the M1 on the A636 towards Wakefield
and only ten minutes by taxi from Wakefield Westgate train station.
The 250 acre site has a cafe & large free car park next to the conference centre which overlooks two lakes, one is a nature reserve with a wide variety of wild birds visiting throughout the year and the other is used for non-powered water sports.
A circular walking track around the lake stretches 1.6 miles, with open views of the surrounding countryside and historic Sandal Castle in the distance, Pugneys Country Park is simply a breath of fresh air.
